Each year, the Chamber of Commerce manages multiple events that target all ages
with various interests. We host 10 monthly events that include, Business at Noon
Luncheons (sponsored by PNC Bank) and Business & Breakfast (sponsored by ERA Professional Hometown Services) events.
These monthly networking opportunities feature a local, regional or national leader
to discuss areas that affect Richmond and Madison County.
The first major event of the year is our annual Golf Tournament, hosted at one
of the local golf courses in May. The largest golf tournament in Richmond, gathers more than 120 players from area businesses to network
and enjoy a great day of golf and camaraderie.

Then, as the summer heats up, we have our Taste of Richmond event at the wonderful Richmond Centre. Next up for the Chamber is the annual Pops at the Park, sponsored by Central
Bank and Baldwin CPAs, in August. This large community event is hosted at White
Hall State Historic Site and offers a great night of eating and the EKU Symphony
for children, families and businesses. The event finale includes a fireworks show
for all attendees.

An event unique to Richmond is the annual CityFest, hosted on EKUs campus the second Thursday evening of September. This is the only event local businesses are
permitted on EKU’s campus to promote products and services. Approximately 3,000
people visit CityFest, sampling local food, local shopping and local business services.
The Chamber concludes each year with its annual Commerce Awards Banquet, presented
by AT&T. This special evening celebrates business, community service and economic
development in Richmond and Madison County. The event is a black tie affair and
presents awards such as Business of the Year, Small Business of the Year, Industry
of the Year, Agriculture Award, Community Service Award and Educator of the Year.
